ISDN comes in two formats; ISDN2 and ISDN30, and both can be used for voice and data communications.
ISDN2 is delivered in pairs per circuit, therefore the entry point is 2 channels (lines), scalable up to 8 (4 circuits).
ISDN30 provides the same functionality as ISDN2 but can scale-up to provide 30 channels (lines) per individual circuit.
Both ISDN options are typically used to act as phone lines connected to a traditional, on-premise telephone system.
BT are to phase out all ISDN connectivity by 2025 so now’s the time to consider switching to a VoIP-based service! Contact us on 0114 220 3000 or email@example.com to learn more.
